Fabulous 50's Diner!

On October 11 our community went back to the fabulous 50's and everyone had great time. Residents were transported back to a 50's diner. The dining room was just decorated with all the memorabilia from that era. The talk of the meal was on how beautiful and fun it looked.

Ladies started arriving to Brook Ridge's Diner around 11:30a.m. in a beautiful 58 Chrystler DeSoto and a 66 Ford Mustang. Ready to have a fun and delicious afternoon.

Moms and grandparents were watching close by to make sure that all the teenagers would be on their best behavior. Grandma is getting a call from mom to keep an eye out.
Nice glasses Dorothy! Very Cool! Watch out for Martha she is the wild child of the bunch look at her dancing and she doesn't even have a partner yet.

The Brook Ridge's Diner Staff ready for next year. We had so much fun that we have decided to make this an annual event. Residents wouldn't stop talking of all the fun they were having.

Martha and George taking their turn on the dance floor. Did I mention she is the wild child of the family!

No desert before your meal! You are hipper enough with out it. Chef Rafael and Grandma Ruth will make sure she doesn't get any yet.

Gloria, one of our servers serving some classic coca-cola to our diners and Aleida is ready to serve the meals. I really enjoyed watching their hair-do's.

That Bacon Cheese Burger looks delicious, but our menu was grand residents could choose from a Beacon Cheeseburger, Cheeseburger, Hot Dog, Chili Cheese Hot Dog, Turkey Melt Sandwich, Grilled Cheese Sandwich, and a Veggie Sandwich for our vegetarian residents. They had a variety of choices for side dishes as well. They chose from a Carrot Cake, Chocolate Cake, Chocolate Chip Cookie, Apple Pie ala mode, Cherry Pie ala mode, Chocolate or Vanilla Pudding, Banana Split, and Cherry, Strawberry and Lime jello with whip topping.
