Veterans Day Celebration

We can never fully repay our debt of gratitude to the more than 650,00 American service members who died in battle or the 1.4 million who were wounded. We can, however, recognize and thank the 25 million veterans still living today. It is our privilege to say "Thank you" to all of America's veterans, to let them know that we appreciate them for their service and honor them for their sacrifices. today in our community we had a great program to do this, program started at noon with a recognition to the veterans in our community and patriotic music by Joe Munguia, followed by a special dessert that our Sous Chef Mary Rodriguez, did for our residents. Then at 3:00p.m. ceremony continued with more music, presentation of the colors by McAllen American Legion, a prayer and a proclamation by Pastor, Carol Latti. You couldn't help to see the mixed emotions among our residents, some of apreciation and some tears for those who have passed. Over all it was a beautiful program.
Cake made by Sous Chef Mary Rodriguez, which was delicious.
